How to use KIKS

PolyTwin

You can search for a specific plastic or manually select and define its properties.

Option 1: Define properties manually

If you want to search for specific properties rather than a known plastic, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the search bar on the left side under "Select properties individually"
  2. A list of all available properties will appear. Enter a keyword to filter the list.
  3. Select up to six properties of interest (at least one is required).
  4. A spider web diagram appears with the selected properties. Enter values as follows:
    • Numerical properties: Type a value directly into the input field. The valid range is shown below.
    • Categorical properties: Select a value from the drop-down list.
  5. Change or remove properties as needed:
    • Modify values: Click directly in the field and adjust as needed.
    • Remove properties: Click the X in the diagram or remove them in the search bar.
    • Add additional properties: Use the "Select properties individually" input field.

Option 2: Search for a plastic

  1. Type the name of the plastic in the search bar under "Search for a plastic" on the left side.
  2. Select the plastic from the list of suggestions.
  3. A spider web diagram appears on the right, showing the most relevant properties and their values for the selected plastic.
  4. Modify the properties and values as needed (see option 1 for details on editing values, adding, or removing properties).
